“Beautiful Scenic Holiday Park”

This holiday is full of beautiful large trees, log cabins, hunters huts (that’s what they were) campers spaces for tents & mobile campers. For. Us the pools were near finishing repair & out of use, but public pools available – our kids loved this option. We stayed in an ensuite log cabin. Very clean, bedding supplied very comfy, TV & wifi effective, coffee making area incl toaster we didn’t need to use camp kitchen. Cafe on site fabulous. Admin staff went extra mile for us arriving late. We recommend for families (my teenagers loved it) very good location – easy access by car to all tourists facilities, kids spend day luging. Lovely spot to start day with coffee enjoying the beautiful surroundings.

Room Tip: Try the cafe for breakfast

“Excellent Family Holiday”

I stay here with my mates when we go Mountain Biking, I love the location and the cabins a lot, so my two girls and I planned a family holiday so I could share the sights of Rotorua. Caring friendly staff who did their utmost to make sure we were looked after. I’ll look at making this a yearly holiday accommodation for us.

“Clean and quiet and the showers are free!!”

Very quiet and comfortable cabins. We were hugely impressed that the showers were free (and hot), after paying in other camp ground for sub standard warm/cold showers.
The pools are great, and it’s really handy having a cafe on site.
Staff were very helpful and friendly.

“Great place for family”

If you want a family-friendly place to stay in Rotorua, this is it. Other similar holiday parks places in the city cost almost twice as much. It has a pool and hot pools and our kids got a lot of use out of both – about three hours a day. It is also a relaxing place to stay, quiet and removed from the hustle-bustle of the city. We have stayed there a couple of times now and we will be returning next time we are in New Zealand. Also, the staff are very friendly – lovely, in fact.

“Free hot pools are worth a visit!”

The park facilities are great, with the toilets and showers clean, two kitchens and the service was nice and friendly. And the free hot pools are a definite drawcard – the perfect way to end a day! We stayed in one of the cabins which are a bit outdated, lack a fridge and the mattresses are a bit thin. However the park is pretty quiet and there are fridge facilities in the kitchens. The park is also a bit of a hike out of town, but if you have a car this shouldn’t be an issue. I’d stay here again!

“Nice Stay”

This holiday park is a short drive from town and has really nice spots for campervans which are all fitted with their own water supply and their own dump station. All ways to the amenity blocks are canopied which came in handy as it was raining during our stay. The staff are friendly and you can get a pick up from this park if you want to go and visit the Tamaki Maori Village, which we strongly recommend. The Pohutu Geyser is in walking distance, shouldn’t take longer than 10 minutes.

“Cheap Clean Location”

Nice little holiday park. Very quiet did not hear a thing at night. Our powered site was right next to the amenities so we did not have to walk far at least. Bathrooms were very clean, only downside was that the thermal pool was closed (our main reason for visiting Rotorua) but we still got out and explored Rotorua and found pplenty of thermal activity elsewhere. Staff very friendly.

“Always great to come back – very handy to mountain bike tracks”

The title says it all, really. I always stay here with friends – the standard log cabin is excellent value. The beds are comfy (just what we need after ten hours of mountain biking on the best trails in the world) and there’s loads of space. The rooms are always tidy with fresh sheets. Kitchen facilities are great, and there’s always a hot shower. The hot pools are also a great way to recharge ready for twilight shuttles up the mountain…
It’s a five minute ride to the trails (the closest place to stay by far) so it’s feasible to come back for lunch and a soak in the pools before heading back up for more.
The staff are always friendly and willing to help. I’ll keep coming back several times per year.

Room Tip: Of the cabin choices, I find the standard log cabin to be great value with good beds and lots of space

“Cheap But Great!”

Arrived at the holiday park and found our room was double booked, lucky for my girlfriend we were
upgraded for our first night. Moved back to our original room the next night (deluxe kitchen cabin) and found it was a great size, comfy bed, all necessary kitchen equipment and overall fantastic room for the price.

“Kiwi Wheels”

My wife and I plus our dog had three excellent days on this tidy, organised, family focused camp ground. The location to the Redwoods MTB park was perfect, which was the reason for our trip. This place has plenty of space to set up camp and the hot pools after a day at the park are perfect. Good clean cooking facilities and friendly staff. This will be THE place for us to return to for many years. Thank you.
